I saw this getting filmed in downtown Chicago last year and boy did the world get like this movie Before it even came out.

There are so many reasons NOT to compare the protests in 1968 to the current violence of today. In 1968, we did NOT burn down cities, destroy and loot businesses, attack innocent by-standers or kill police. We had leaders with a purpose - the END the Vietnam War, fight FOR civil rights for ALL Americans. Yes, the police acted horribly in Chicago, on the Kent State campus, BUT these were all PEACEFUL legal and constitutionally protected protests - not the wild violent anarchy we've seen today that has no leaders, no goals except destruction and won't accomplish anything except create more violence and bloodshed.

I forgot how good it feels when Aaron Sorkin writes courtroom scenes. Wow it is beautiful. Im sure this kind of movie wont escalate the situation in america any further. Great trailer! really well made. And how does the defendant plea? VERY NIIIICCCE. You Alright - I laughed pretty hard watching Sacha😂 To me he always does this kind of thing for getting a laugh out of us. Almost forgot to watch this today. This post covid documentary looks interesting. About time they made a movie about it. Knowing how similar things are now to what they were then makes me angry. We fought those battles and now they are back again. Lets get it right this time.

Always oddly refreshing seeing Cohen NOT be in a comedy. Very Nice. When Sacha Baron Cohen is being serious he is not left wing or right wing garbage but something to see. Casting director: Just get everyone in there. I find that court related films, especially those based on actual events, carry the great risk of either ending up extremely intense or excruciatingly monotonous. This however, is one of the very few that pulls it off with ease in all aspects, to which also provides some unexpected humour (yes; mainly from Sacha Baron Cohen.
Another part of the story I definitely didn't expect going in was how character driven it was, propelled by an absolutely extraordinary cast; who some should at least get some award recognition this coming season for when the time arrives.
So far, this is probably my current favourite film to have released this year, despite the lack of competition.
